In the midst of clouds of illusion
And impermanence
The lightning of life dances:
Can you say that you will not
Be dead tomorrow?
So, practice dharma!
The moment has come to conquer the
Citadel of great bliss

Zen on Sunday
Down under
Sorry for my absence and little more than a few Zen related posts in the way of updates. I am now in Australia and have settled into life down under. The jet lag was a little painful but after 5/6 days I managed to adjust suitably.
Since then I have taken some time off to explore the city and take advantage of the natural gap in employment to enjoy myself. I have to say though, after only a few weeks I'm ready to back to work! As nice as it is to have some time to oneself, the lack of real mental stimulation can tire pretty quickly.
With that in mind I have spent the last week looking seriously for work. I am working with a great recruitment guy who knows his apples and has given me some sound advice and already set up some interviews for prospective positions. Hopefully I can make an impression and get back in the game and make a difference again.
Over the next week or so I think I'll share some observations I have made on the media & advertising landscape. These will be pretty much from the point of view of a consumer as not working in the industry at present has given me a chance to take a peek at the other side of the equation.
